A Color Choice That Starts Conversation

The yearly “Color of the Year” is always a hot topic—debated,
analyzed, and deeply loved by the design community. Traditionally, these picks
are driven by forecasting, trend reports, and educated guesses from brands and
design authorities. Sometimes they hit the mark. Other times, they feel more
like a social experiment. (White… again?)

And don’t get us wrong—white has earned its place. Whites, creams, and beiges
are foundational in the world of surfaces. Carraras, Calacattas, clean
porcelains—they’re timeless, versatile, and always in demand. Designers rely
on them, and for good reason.

But this year, we wanted to do something different.

Listening Instead of Predicting

Instead of asking what should be Color of the Year, we asked a different question:
What were designers actually gravitating toward?

We looked at how customers moved through our showrooms. Which slabs made them stop mid-walk?
Which colors sparked conversations, reworked mood boards, and shifted original plans?

We paid attention to what kept showing up—again and again—throughout the year.

The answer became clear.

Why Forest Green?

Forest Green quietly stole the spotlight in 2025. It’s rich, layered, and grounding—bold without being overpowering.

  • It adds depth in kitchens, baths, and statement spaces.
  • It pairs easily with warm metals, wood tones, and creamy neutrals.
  • It feels timeless—nature-forward without looking “trendy.”

And in our slab alleys, it was the color that kept stopping people mid-walk.

A Reflection of Real Design Moments

Our Color of the Year isn’t about predicting what might happen next. It’s about learning from what already did.

Forest Green earned its place by consistently creating “wow” moments—those pauses, second looks, and design pivots that tell us a color is doing something special. It reflects a growing desire for depth, warmth, and connection to nature in modern interiors.

In short, it reflects how people actually designed in 2025.

Looking Ahead

So now we’ll turn it over to you.

Designers, builders, and trendsetters—what’s your forecast for 2026?

Will bold colors continue to take center stage? Will we see a shift back toward restraint? Or is this just the beginning of a richer, more expressive era in design?

We’re listening.
